Satisfaction Survey.

us know what services and products our customers want and it helps us improve

The NRECA courses cover a range of issues met by
supervisors with a course study designed to help build the skills necessary to
effectively address those issues. The core curriculum includes several classroom
hours and testing required to achieve the certification. Managers and

HILCO United Services, Inc., (HILCO U.S.) a subsidiary of HILCO Electric Cooperative, Inc., has awarded three $1,000 college scholarships to students in the HILCO U.S. propane and water service areas.
The 2005 winners were Ashley Boyd, daughter of Wesley and Joan Boyd of Joshua; Jolenna Carter, daughter of Douglas and Cindy Neal of Whitney; and Robert Lee Robertson, son of Darlene Robertson of Whitney.
Gerald W. Lemons, HILCO U.S. board president, said, "We understand the value of a good education for our future leaders. We are pleased to be able to provide this added benefit for the families using our propane and water services. We believe commitment to community prosperity and growth is the cornerstone of any successful company."
The applicants were asked to write an essay on the subject of "How Electric Cooperatives Benefit Texas." The winners were determined by academic excellence, extracurricular activities, support of community and family life goals, content of essay, and financial need.
HILCO U. S., established in 1997, serves propane and water customers in Bosque, Dallas, Ellis, Hill, Johnson, McLennan and Navarro counties, many of whom are also HILCO Electric Cooperative members. In addition to the propane division, the company also owns HILCO H2O, formerly Arrowhead Water and M & H Water, Lake Whitney Water Company and Lakeview Water Company, providing water service to over 5,000 meters in the Whitney area.
William Holland, HILCO United Services Sales and Serviceman, has successfully completed the P80 propane technology course, earning a Category E Management-Level certification.
The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) course included 80-hours of classroom and field work at the RRC training center in Austin. The intensive study encompassed a wide range of subjects, including the RRC Handbook and National Fire Protection Association 54 and 58 Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code and National Fuel Gas Code.
Holland and his wife, Madeline, live in Hillsboro and have three children. He has been with HILCO United Services in Whitney since 2002.
